16th International Software Product Line Conference Salvador - Brazil, September 02 - 07, 2012

As it is the tradition, the session focusing on the Software Product Line Hall of Fame will also close the conference in 2012. Bosch and Siemens have successfully applied in Munich 2011 and there applications are currently under investigation by the judges.

The decisions will be announced and we hope that you are part of when potentially new members will join the Hall of Fame. The other part of the session looks for new applications: everybody can  nominate his own or other people's product line. Ideally, you prepare a few slides that address all of the criteria to be fulfilled by Hall-of-Fame members, which have been slightly updated last year:

  1. 1.The family that constitutes the product line is clearly identified.

  2. 2.The family is explicitly defined and designed as a product line.

  3. 3.The product line has had a strong influence on others who desire to build and evolve product lines, and has gained recognition as a model.

  4. 4.The product line is commercially successful.

  5. 5.There is sufficient documentation about the product line that one can understand it without resorting to hearsay.

We look forward to meet you throughout the conference and especially to actively contribute to the Hall-of-Fame session by nominating new candidates, asking critical questions, or simply forming an opinion and voting on the candidates.

See you in Salvador,

Dirk
